Sheetal is an Associate Partner with ALMT Legal and has 12 years post-qualification experience. Sheetal is an integral part of the corporate team at ALMT Legal.

Sheetal’s corporate practice focuses on corporate commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, data protection, media law and intellectual property.

Sheetal has experience in advising both Indian and international clients across diverse industries, guiding them through the legal intricacies of structuring deals, conducting due diligence, negotiating transaction documents, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Sheetal also has experience in working on global mergers and acquisition transactions, collaborating with multiple law firms across various jurisdictions to efficiently lead transactions to  seamless closure. Her expertise  also extends to advising private equity firms on investments, exits, and mitigating risks throughout the transaction lifecycle. Sheetal also has diverse experience in advising clients in intellectual property matters including advising clients on strategies for protecting their IP, licensing, and assignment. As part of her data protection practice, Sheetal advises clients in drafting and revising policies and documents, curating, and updating employee training modules on data protection, advising clients regarding compliances and conducting data protection risk assessments.

Prior to joining ALMT Legal, Sheetal managed the legal vertical at a renowned education company where she worked closely with the management. During her initial years of practice, Sheetal has also undertaken litigation. This diverse exposure enables Sheetal to adopt a commercially viable and solution oriented approach in her work.

Sheetal has been recognized as a Rising Star by esteemed legal publications such as IFLR1000 and Asian Legal Business. Additionally, she has been acknowledged as an ‘Other Key Lawyer’ in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) category by Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2024, reflecting her expertise and significant contributions to the firm.
