Margaret, a former partner of Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. (now Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas) brings to the table over 28 years of practice in corporate law and litigation/ arbitration, with focus on project finance and restructuring as also renewable energy. Margaret in her last stint of 6 years with Suzlon Energy Limited, worked closely with their Corporate Finance Department, working on all issues including structuring of wind and solar power projects. In 2019, she took an active role in the financial restructuring of Suzlon Energy Limited which successfully closed in June 2020. Along with Leena Bhat, she co-founded Acclivus Law Partners in 2020, a boutique law firm focussing on project finance, renewable energy, family and property law. In 2022, she assisted Suzlon Energy Limited in their refinancing of the existing debt from REC Limited and IREDA.
