Siddhi is an integral part of the corporate team at ALMT Legal, where she started out in 2007. Her primary areas of practice include corporate and commercial laws, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property.

After graduating with a double major in biochemistry and genetics from Ohio Wesleyan University, Siddhi undertook and completed her degree in law from Government Law College in 2009.

Prior to joining ALMT Legal, Siddhi worked at USV Limited where her role primarily consisted of helping the company strategize on market entry in various jurisdictions based on patent searches. While at ALMT Legal, Siddhi has gained extensive experience in trademark, copyright and patent matters. Several matters of her M&A and transactional corporate practice have involved intellectual property, including the acquisition and/or licensing of important brands and technical know-how. In addition to filing for and defending applications before the trade mark registry and the copyright office through to the stage of registration, Siddhi has advised clients on the benefits of different IP treaties to which India is a signatory, registrability of IP and compulsory licensing. Drafting IP development, licensing, assignment and technology transfer agreements has been an inherent part of her practice at ALMT Legal.

Siddhi’s M&A and corporate practice is mainly focused on transactional work for domestic and international private equity funds and multinational companies. As a part of her mergers and acquisition and corporate practice, Siddhi has had substantial transactional involvement in numerous industries and she has been actively involved in, and has extensive experience in drafting, negotiating and advising clients on complex cross border transactions involving foreign exchange regulations, industry specific legislations and restructuring strategies. She has a substantial amount of experience in exchange control regulations/laws, including dealing with regulatory bodies in this regard. Her expertise lies in drafting and negotiating transaction documents such as share purchase/ subscription agreements, commercial contracts, business transfer agreements and turnkey contracts. She also has significant experience in corporate restructurings and court mergers before the NCLT.

Siddhi also advises several clients from the media and technology sector for various commercial transactions and also on telecom laws and regulations from time to time. She has also advised on potential legal and commercial risks of investments in this sector and assisted in arriving at mitigation strategies.

Legal 500 2025 Edition has recommended Siddhi for Intellectual Property and TMT and has appreciated Siddhi for her strong domain expertise and technical knowledge. Siddhi is also recommended for her Corporate & M&A, Private Equity and TMT practice by Asia Law profiles. Siddhi was recognised by Asian Legal Business as one of the lawyers under 40 who have made an impact in India’s legal scene in 2021. Siddhi regularly co-authors articles for the Intellectual Property – India 2024 Edition of the Legal Industry Review magazine.
